UPDATE 17/09/2015 Garden group visit 2nd October Lost Gardens of Heligan  (Photo by Andy Ling Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic) Brenda Dale ********************** UPDATE 15/08/2015 In August the garden group decided to focus on local gardens. We went to the three gardens open for charity in Lerryn and enjoyed a superb afternoon. Some of the group also revisited the Hidden Valley garden which was in full bloom. After our initial visit, entrance to the garden is free for the season, so well worth a visit. Our September visit is still to be confirmed Visit to the garden house at Buckland Monachorum.

Report from Brenda 27th April 2015  - Garden visit to Tregrehan At last the garden visiting group went on its first outing! Adverse weather prevented the visit to Caerhays in March, and an alternative date to suit, was not available due to busy diaries. ********************  Hidden Valley Gardens Unfortunately, Enys Garden at Penryn is not open on the 8th May. I propose we keep the date and visit a local garden, Hidden Valley Gardens, Treesmill, Par instead. Admission is £4.50 and includes a tea or coffee. (Hidden Valley video starts at 1minute) Let me know if you would like to come by Tuesday 5th May and whether you can provide transport. Meet in Lostwithiel community centre car park at 10.15 for 10.30. Contact  bdale57 "AT" yahoo "DOT" com 01208 871745 *************************** Report from First Meeting Great to see so many of you despite the weather!  The purpose of the meeting was to:-  Choose and plan a programme of garden visits for the next few months,  Discuss transport arrangements Members of the group would plan visits  A telephone cascade for those not on the internet   Several visits were discussed Caerhays, Tregrane, RHS Rosemoor, The Garden House Buckland Monochorum to name but a few. Some were also interested in going as a group to the Spring garden show at Boconnoc 28-29th March 2015.  Look forward to seeing you on the 2nd!        |
