Update 31st  October  2018

A small group braved the weather, which was a mixture of heavy rain and bright sunshine. We strolled beside the 'White Water River ', no longer white since the china clay has been cleaned up. We then made our way through the woods to a cafe in Pentewan, where we enjoyed our coffee, hot chocolate and toasted teacakes.

Our next stroll will be on Friday 30th November. This will be a short walk around St Andrews nature reserve, Par, and then back to my house for pre Christmas 'nibbles'.

The oak trees showered us with acorns. At first we thought it was hail until we realised that was not possible. A slow-worm slivered across our path at one point and disappeared into the long grass. We were treated to first class hospitality by Peggy's daughter. We were wined and dined!

Our next stroll is on Friday 26th October
